Just a quick note about some of the recent music blogs I've been talking about.

I don't remember how I found this site but I've found dozens of very cool blogs via there links. This site and many of the links focus on vintage soul, r&b and jazz but I've also found some very cool 60's psychedelia and other assorted genres as well. Give it a shot...I doubt you'll be disappointed.
FunkMySoul
One of my favorites of the vintage music blogs. Their m.o. is to pool money and purchase difficult to find/expensive or otherwise worthy vinyl albums and post them to the site for download. Going through their archives will yield days of worthy music you'd probably never know about.
It's difficult to describe the shear volume of music that's out there on these blogs but my hat's off to them for opening a dialogue about and making available some awesome musical artifacts.
